This beautiful one-bedroom is in the historic Marais district. It’s stylish and a very functional living space with clean minimalist modern lines, the interior is decorated in vibrant contrasting tones. Enjoy the contrast of modern amenities in a historic location. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor with double exposure, and overlooks peaceful courtyards and is unusually quiet. Nestled in the heart of the Marais district, one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Paris, this is a village where distinctive townhouses stand side by side with many small boutiques and restaurants whose façades are incomparably charming.

One enters this delightful apartment into the main living space, an L-shaped room into which light floods from two separate and quiet courtyards.

The L-shaped living area comprises on the one hand a seating area with sofa bed, armchairs and flat-screen TV, on the other hand a dining area with seating for 4. In the corner of the L-shape is a beautiful fully-equipped kitchen, finished in lacquered red, with a bar and stools.

The bedroom is peaceful, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Either side of the double bed is practical storage space for clothes. with double bed

The bathroom is fresh and modern. It has a large shower cabin, wash basin, towel heating rails. The lavatory is separate.

The hardwood floors are in wenge, a deep tone of precious wood. With a modern apartment in a classic historic building, enjoy the benefits of modernity in a classic setting, full of charm.

The narrow Marais streets are lined with cafés, restaurants and chic boutiques. And thanks to its central location most of Paris’ sights and monuments are within easy walking distance.

Contrasting with this historic architecture, the wide range of local boutiques are up-to-the-minute modern, offering everything from the very latest fashion trends to avant-garde furniture and innovative designer objects and souvenirs. The area also benefits from several art galleries, plus the Picasso museum. Much like their shops and galleries, the locals are generally trendy, arty, cosmopolitan individuals.

The area also scores highly in terms of restaurants, with many quality establishments at different price levels, serving either tasty national specialities or all manner of world cuisine. Local boulangeries are some of Paris' best and many small epiceries offer plenty of tempting traditional food products to prepare at home

Here are some photos that I took riding around a 4 block radius from the Sevigne apartment to give you a feel for the area.
